May I assume, therefore, that your plumbing is not functioning properly at the moment?

I do sympathize with that. For months, our upstairs bathroom was leaking into our kitchen cabinets. My in-laws generously volunteered to pay for the repairs — but then the repairs cost more than we’d initially imagined. The work stretched on for months more, balancing what professionals needed do and the work that could be done more cheaply. Now, at last, the pipes are replaced, the bathroom is restored (better than before by far) and everything works in proper order. Unless, of course, you consider that most of the rest of the plumbing in the house is only in slightly better shape than the bathroom was.

I hope whatever repairs you need are less costly and less time-consuming by far!
