Short eye contact, a nonverbal response of incredulity, and then ignore them.

      LOL, that’s a funny one!

      It depends upon the situation; many sorts of bullies keep escalating. (You don’t want to hear about the stairwells.) So one must figure out which method would be most appropriate to the situation.

    Andrea, I wish someone had given me this advice when I was five. (Someone like my mother, but of couse she was one of them…) Thank you for this. It will help deal with the adult bullies too, because sadly they become adults but they don’t always grow up!
